Such a worthy cause
On Thursday October 6th 2016, Allwag Promotions hosted a magical supplier event, in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. All 85 of our special guests were treated to a three-course meal at a superb new venue, The Lion Inn, Boreham and were astounded by magic from the most amazing magician and mind reader. A fun night was had by everyone! All we asked was that each guest brought a gift for the raffle (oh and then bought raffle tickets)! It was the most spectacular raffle we have ever seen.
This is a charity dear to one of Team Allwag's hearts. Jess's nephew was diagnosed with cancer and needed immediate treatment during the Christmas of 2015 and Teenage Cancer Trust offered resources and support to him and his family. This support was invaluable to help get through this difficult time. It was amazing news when he was given the all clear during the summer of 2016.
In total, the evening raised £1025 thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended; money that will go towards making an impact on the lives of those young people who need it the most.
“Thank you so much to everyone at Allwag Promotions for choosing Teenage Cancer Trust to benefit from your supplier dinner,” said Hailey from TCT whilst receiving the cheque on behalf of the charity. “We know these events take a lot of hard work and effort to organise so we’re extremely grateful. Thank you also to your amazing suppliers who were so generous with raffle prizes and donations on the night. Your combined efforts have raised a fantastic £1,025. This will make such a difference, as 7 young people are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.”
A donation of £1025 is enough to cover the cost of either 41 hours of nursing for cancer
patient, 146 guides about cancer for those young people who have been diagnosed or provide 5 wigs. The team here at Allwag Promotions believe that the work carried out by Teenage Cancer Trust
is superb, seeing first hand what a difference they can make to a teenager's life when told such devastating news. We are so happy that we were able to give something back to this amazing charity.
