The Brief

We were approached by a school keen to produce a colour full range of branded staff uniforms for a School Food Service. Garments were to be printed with funky cartoon characters in three positions.

Our Solution

Screen printed polo shirts were chosen after careful consideration and examination of all garment samples. We then re-worked the visuals several times to ensure our client was happy with our designs, the positioning and the garment colours in order to compliment the 'Taste Buddy' characters. Pre-production samples were produced despite the full order of 3,500 items being needed in less than 5 days. The complex combination of coloured garments in various sizes were co-ordinated and individually packaged by Allwag and delivered within an incredibly short lead-time for such a huge order.

Canteen staff can now be quickly identified by children due to the bright colours and they loved the funky food related characters making eating healthy more fun - the key objective of this project. As the characters proved so popular with the children, we then produced children's printed aprons and printed chef hats for a mini Master Chef competition! We managed to save the client £££s for using our in-house design and express services which took the pressure off managing a challenging project for our clients.
