What is rHIPS.b?

Is it a vaccine? Is it some sort of breeder score for Labrador dogs? Is it a new ‘hippie’ movement?

Actually… it is plastic… but not as you know it!

You may have seen products on our website or social media posts talking about rHIPs.b and thinking ‘what on earth is that?!’

Well...it’s basically a very cool, sustainable material that everyone should know about.

It is fully biodegradable

rHIPS.b products are made from 100% waste materials, including things like yoghurt pots and even the inside of fridges!

Absolutely no virgin materials are used, and all the products are fully biodegradable. Also, unlike other plastics, they do not require extremely particular conditions to biodegrade. The rHIPS.b polymer naturally biodegrades in home compost, marine and landfill 200 times faster than standard plastic!

(If you want the science behind it.. just give us a call, we love to talk technical about our products).

It helps to lower your carbon footprint

rHIPS.b products are made from waste materials sourced in the UK by the manufacturer based in Cornwall, and even from waste materials they've created themselves.

Being designed, manufactured and distributed from the UK also means a lower carbon footprint, with less 'air miles' and more 'smiles'.

Its colours are inspired by nature

rHIPS.b products come in a range of five natural colours that have been inspired by the manufacturer's coastal location. Reminders of their recycled history are visible - you can see flecks from the waste and recycled products that were used to make it... pretty cool, huh?

A whole range of branded eco merchandise can be created including coasters, badges, ID card holders, trolley keyrings, plant markers and so much more, all able to be branded with your logo to become promotional gifts.

It is a great solution for your company's sustainability goals

rHIPS.b products are the perfect way to show that your business really cares about your environmental impact.

Promoting your brand using eco-friendly materials and lowering your carbon footprint will really send the message of your commitment to sustainability, which is only going to continue to grow in importance and popularity.
